Updated Capital Task Force Presentation from Carol (version 2) 10/23/18

email below from Lisa Walker 10/23/18  ECC Capital Infrastructure TF Presentation v2-1ixth42

Carol,

Thank you for this draft.  I appreciate the work to date.  I found the presentation to be vague to those who may not be as involved in the campaign.  I know as a group we have spoken about the campaign, but it has been months so I think we may need to be more hard hitting with our results and the key messages we want to provide the Council.

Here is my feedback:

  1. What is the key messages we want the council to take away?  Let’s make that slide 1.  I read the report but did not feel traction with the campaign
    1. The slide could read something like:  Key Message is the headline
  1. Kicked off Campaign June 2018, and … add milestone dates/dollars or the like
  2. Marketing initiatives underway and ……
  • Ahead/Behind schedule on key metrics….add info here
  1. Next steps forare……
  1. Slide 1:  Fundraising pie chart.
    1. What does the Naming Opportunity Available refer to?  How much does it take to name a space?  Either give color to the naming opportunity asterisk or remove it
    2. Is this ahead or behind plan?
    3. Somewhere on the slide is should say the goal is $150M
  2. Slide 2:  Capital infrastructure
    1. Title should say something like kick off receptions to date, or whatever you would like to say as a headline for the page
    2. The data looks frightening in that we invited almost 3500 people in Chicago and 27 attended.  We invited 2800 in San Francisco and 35 attended.
  1. How do you interpret the low interest?
  2. That may beg a lot of questions.
  • Are we ready to answer those?
  1. The Marketing and Communications slide share process and overview information but do not have a lot of meat. I expect we will get a lot of questions.
    1. Do you have any specifics that you can provide Ken and me in case of questions?

Thanks.

L
