CorGGLE offers participants:

Approximately 9 weeks of research and training (June 9- August 9, 2024)

A stipend/award of $6,300
-
A round-trip travel stipend for students living outside of Ithaca, NY
-
A double room in a residential hall with a meal plan

A campus bus pass or campus parking pass

Optional field trips to New York City, Niagara Falls, and other sites

Access to state-of-the-art laboratories, libraries, computer/study lounges, etc.
Further, CorGGLE participants will:

Develop a meaningful research agenda and conduct research with a faculty research mentor who has been trained in mentorship by the Cornell Diversity Programs in Engineering office

Learn about careers in the geosciences and professional skills through weekly lunches, presentations, and social activities

Present a scientific research talk

Design a research poster and discuss their poster presentation of their research at a symposium on campus

Submit a written report at the end of the summer research activity that may lead to a publication
