Openings

The Rivera Lab at Cornell works on optical physics broadly (including quantum optics, nonlinear optics, nanophotonics, and laser physics), develops both fundamental science and new applications – and conducts both experimental and theoretical work.

For postdoctoral candidates: strong preference will be given to candidates working primarily on experiments, and preference will also be given to those with a strong track record in ultrafast or nonlinear optics. That said, we encourage candidates with an exceptionally strong record in theory to apply. Candidates are also encouraged to apply for external fellowships as well internal fellowships such as the Kavli Institute at Cornell (KIC) Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Klarman Postdoctoral Fellowship. Interested candidates should contact nrivera AT cornell DOT edu, providing a CV and the contact information of two references.

For graduate students: I am happy to chat about potential openings and projects with currently enrolled students at Cornell. For prospective students, I encourage you to look at the research interests of our group and other faculty within the School of Applied and Engineering Physics, and to apply if you are interested.

Not planning to join our group? Feel free to distribute our flyer!
