Winternships

The Winternship program is a series of career development workshops and a paid, three-week, mini-internship experience in January for students at CUNY who are interested in pursuing a career in tech. This immersive experience exposes you to job opportunities in tech and computing while helping you build a strong resume, a larger community of CUNY students, and a professional network.

Everyone knows that you need real world experience to get that first job and Break Through Tech New York’s Winternship program provides just that. Break Through Tech works with 80+ companies to ensure that CUNY students are given the opportunity to get their foot in the door of the tech ecosystem through their participation in a paid 3 week Winternship during CUNY’s winter recess.

The Winternship immerses students in their host company’s business and allows them to work collaboratively on a challenge project. At the end of their Winternship, students have a resume credential that has proven to be transformational in terms of their ability to successfully land a summer tech internship.
