Welcome Katharine (Kate) Getz and Gabriel (Gabe) Mendez-Sanders to the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department! Kate has previously worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the STRIDE Lab and finished her undergraduate education at Penn State University in May. Gabe is a Carnegie Mellon graduate who recently completed a Postbaccalaureate program focused on connecting chemical engineering education with real-world sustainability initiatives.

Kate and Gabe will be rotating through different education research labs in the fall, and we are excited to see their growth as they refine their research topics in engineering education research!
