We are one month away from the Cornell Cup—Arm Enabled finals competition! To help make sure we’re all ready to present our very best at the upcoming final competition in May, we’re holding another online Q&A. Do you have questions on your final project report due just the week before the competition? Questions on your expo demonstration? Questions on your final presentation to the judges?. Questions on just how cool it is to be down at NASA? Please feel free to come to the online Q&A .

Soon after February 5, there will also be an Autodesk People’s Choice award, public voted prize competition (with cash prizes) on your Autodesk drawings. So re-make your Cup entry in Autodesk Fusion if needed—with its great suite of tools and other integrated products like Eagle, you’ll be glad you did!

The Cornell Cup-Arm Enabled is back, and this year Arm is co-founding. If you are an engineering student in the U.S. or Canada, there are 10 reasons why you should enter the Cup competition.

10. Easy to develop an entry project: Use your current course project, senior design project, independent inventing, etc. as the basis of your entry. Plus, Arm’s vast technology platform and partner ecosystem offers a huge array of eligible hardware options for you & your projects!

You can earn special job and internship interviews with our sponsors just for applying: The application is your chance to enhance your skills and to prove to top employers that you are the diamond in the rough they want in their company. 8. Blind reviewed applications, which means that everyone has his/her chance to prove themselves: The judges don’t know your school, your year, your race, gender, professor, etc. If you’re team is to advance, you earned it.

The applications will make your current project stronger: Past faculty advisors have praised the Cup as aiding their teams consider critical aspects of design that can greatly enhance your project quality – and hence improved their students’ grades, their students’ ability to convey their abilities to potential employers, and help them be better engineers regardless of the competition

6. The semi-finals will make your current project stronger: Feedback from the Cornell Cup judges has been sited every year by students as remarkably valuable and one of the key reasons their project became the success that it is.

5. The finals are your place to shine: As a special event at NASA Kennedy Space Center, this is an amazing stage to show off what you can do. From the Cup “launchpad,” past students have gone on to win recognitions such as the 1^st American team to win the James Dyson Award for Engineering & Design, being selected as America’s “30 under 30,”, 1 of NBC’s “Top 6 College Inventions” and more.  Plus, all finalists get funding from the Cup!

The Cornell Cup is back with a new primary sponsor, Arm. There will be two application periods and the finals will be held at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Center in Florida May 3-4, 2019.

All projects who submit a complete application are also eligible to submit to the Hackaday Prize competition in March/April 2019. So even if you couldn’t show us what you could do at the Cornell Cup Finals, you can still keep working on your project and wow us all in the 2019 Hackaday Prize. Any team that submits a complete application to the Cup this year, regardless if they are selected as a Semi-Finalist, can submit their project to the 2019 Hackaday Prize in March/April 2019 for a chance to win the 2019 Hackaday Prize “Best of the Cornell Cup Achievement” special recognition.

Since 2014 the Hackaday Prize has awarded over $1 million across hundreds of entrants, plus winners of this Cup Achievement also earn a special optional interview for an internship at the SupplyFrame DesignLab! For more information: Hackaday

Autodesk gives you an open canvas to prove you’ve got what it takes to win the Autodesk Fusion Award.

Finalist teams the make the best use of Autodesk Fusion in their project will have a chance to have the Autodesk community vote on their work for this $2,000 prize!
