We’ve posted a preprint describing work led by Orion and Vighnesh related to fluorescence collection from single ions — using some nice electromagnetics to establish simple intuition, as well as devices made in our hafnia-based material platform (more details to come).

We’ve been busy building up our lab/apparatus… as of August 2nd, Ithaca saw its first isolated atom in the form of a single ion in our trap device / cryostat.
