Lab Manager and Research Operation Specialist Recruitment
A Lab manager/Research Operation Specialist brings together their managerial skills and knowledge of safety and lab procedures to ensure that laboratories operate smoothly. He/she manages all the equipment and operations related to research activities in the lab. A 4-year bachelor degree or MS degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or other health and science fields, and several years of experience is preferred. The array of duties include equipment maintenance, lab supply purchasing, safety management and research activities coordination. He/she trains students on the correct use of lab equipment, in addition to mentoring and disciplining lab members. They may also participate in research.

April is the graduate field member of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Biological and Environmental Engineering, and Microbiology. Please contact April in advance if you are unsure about which program is right for you. Note that funding to support graduate studies is extremely limited, so you should plan ahead and apply early.

We are most interested in enthusiastic and motivated students who can commit at least one full year to research (freshmen and sophomores are encouraged to apply), with a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during the academic year.
