Research interests: the competition among the anammox bacteria, nitrate-dependent iron-oxidizing bacteria, and denitrifying bacteria in the nitrogen-rich and iron-rich environment; P removal, the interaction and competition among PAOs, GAOs and N related bacteria; integriding N and P removal processes.

Hobbies: I am a big fan of Sci-fi fiction and movies. In my free time, I love hiking and learning new skills such as playing the bamboo flute, kayaking, and cooking Chinese cuisine.
