Approximately 25% of Simmons Scholars hold leadership positions within student professional groups – impressive accomplishments considering that all 2022-2023 scholars were first-year students.  Simmons Scholars serve as executive board members for Engineering Professional Organizations, project directors and team leads for Project Teams, and hold various leadership positions across sporting, arts, entrepreneurship, media, fraternal organizations, and public interest groups across campus.  Additionally, Simmons Scholars are connected with Engineering-focused Leadership development through Leadership Programs, coaching, the Engineering Leadership Certificate Program, Leadership Skills Clinics, and  Engineering Leadership Classes.
