Authentic College Experience

CATALYST Academy offers Scholars the opportunity to experience the life of an undergraduate.  Scholars live in dormitories, network with undergraduate and graduate students, attend classes and field sessions taught by world-renowned Faculty, and explore Cornell through a lens normally accessible only to Cornell students.

The Academic Experience

Research Sessions

CATALYST Scholars attend daily, experiential classes with world-renowned Cornell Faculty in one area of study.  These classes culminate in small-group research project presentations, delivered on the final Saturday of the Academy.  Students are coached by Faculty, post-docs, and current Cornell graduate and undergraduate students!

Field Sessions

In addition to research sessions, CATALYST Scholars also attend daily field sessions with Faculty across eight (8) additional majors in the College of Engineering.

Information Sessions

CATALYST Scholars also experience a tour of Cornell Engineering’s Project Teams, as well as an intensive workshop with Engineering Admissions, intended to demystify the college admissions process.
